DZ - Savers Sketch Dump 3

the last couple of dumps were pretty saku-centric, so.  time to focus on my other main savers child. :3c

honestly, Toshi's grown a lot since I first made him, but somehow in the last couple of years he's become way more moe than he has any right to be.  particularly as of late--Victor from YoI reminds me a lot of Toshi, and as you can...probably see, he's kind of influenced how I draw Toshi.  but Toshi was always hyper-expressive, so I suppose it fits, haha.

also I have this headcanon that Toshi and Kouki met and hooked up prior to the Biohybrids' appearance in canon.  so when Kouki and co. bust up in there and start kicking DATS's ass, Toshi's like "oh my god it's that guy. oh shit. oh no." and Saku notices him acting weird and asks him what's going on and it's tragic and hilarious all at once.  this is my favorite headcanon and you can pry it from my cold dead hands  but I also think Kouki goes out of his way to avoid targeting Bearmon and Toshi when they fight, so.  (i mean you could always just say he's funneling his efforts into wrecking masaru's shit but like. y'know. //jazzhands)

also!! that one of Saku and Toshi where Toshi's all excited is a redraw!  check it out mm dat sweet improvement //fingerguns  (or at least the expressions are more fun. anatomy is still a wash but Y'KNOW IT NEVER WAS MY STRONG SUIT, SSSSOOOOO //shrugs loudly)
